A campaign aimed at fighting DUI has recently taken place in the Tri-Cities. On this 14 days operation that lasted Until Labor day, a combined force of hundreds of police officers from Benton and Franklin counties patrolled the streets till Labor Day.
The results were grim. 70 people were arrested in Tri-Cities while 1603 were arrested all over the state due to DUI offenses. These statistics indicate a slight increase in the number of arrests if compared to a parallel campaign that took place exactly one year ago in which sixty six drivers were nabbed owing to driving under the influenced of dangerous alcoholic and narcotic substances.
